DIANE Z. SHORE
Award-winning children’s author Diane Z. Shore says that her short attention span, limited vocabulary, and immaturity prepared her well to be a children’s writer.
As a child, she loved Amelia Bedelia, wanted to live in the Berenstain Bears’ tree house, and still turns to the hidden picture page first when reading Highlights for Children, one of the many magazines in which she contributes.
Now a full-time author and read-aloud advocate, Diane writes in a variety of genres, and her books have been translated into many languages. She travels across the U.S. with her widely popular school presentations, inspiring the most reluctant kids to read and the most hesitant students to write.
The author lives in metro Atlanta, GA with her husband and cat. Their daughter and son, who inspired “How to Drive Your Sister Crazy” are both married and starting their own families, so they don’t drive each other crazy like they used to!
